New computer installations

Computers are now relatively inexpensive to buy. But they can cost you a lot of time to set up and get working properly.

We offer two basic services - fixed price and bespoke.

2 fixed price services

Silver - £45		Gold - £75
Basic installation to get you going including: - Physical installation and connections - Installation of Windows - Internet connection - "Office" type programme*† - Web browsing - Email - Anti-virus - Connect to your printer		As Silver plus a more detailed customisation so the computer is set up exactly how you will use it. This includes: - Additional programmes you have purchased† and other useful freely available programmes (within reason). - Other security software (firewall, anti-malware, anti-spam, etc.) - Scheduled maintenance programmes to keep your computer running smoothly. - Clean up your computer of unwanted programmes that slow your computer down. - Connect your computer to other computers you may have.

Bespoke installation

You choose what you want done and we’ll quote a price based on time. This is usually for the more complex computer set-ups such as those used for design work or audio-visual connections. Or you may have already installed your computer and you need it customised.
Typically from £45 to £125.

*"Office" type programmes can be any of the following:
- Microsoft Works. This is a basic suite of programmes that often comes free with a new computer and includes tools that allow you to write letters and make simple spreadsheets.
- Microsoft Office. This is the standard suite of programmes such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Different versions have additional programmes for things like desktop publishing and graphics. It's often considered the standard against which all other office programmes are measured.
- Sun's OpenOffice. This is similar to Microsoft Office but has the advantage of being free!

†We install and set up these programmes. You, the customer, must ensure that you have a valid licence for them. We can help you decide what software you need and help you purchase it.
